Our programs happen Sundays between Labor Day and Memorial Day
We welcome children and youth of all ages in the sanctuary during worship! We expect and enjoy hearing the sounds of babies and children in the sanctuary! There is also a nursery for infants and toddlers, and a “cry” room for families’ use as they see fit. Changing tables are located in both spaces.
Children, youth, and adults are invited to make use of the coloring sheets and activity boxes to supplement their worship experience.
Many toddlers and elementary children enjoy coming up front during the children’s moment, and then going to the nursery for the remainder of the worship service. There will often be children’s music led in the nursery during the latter part of the worship service. The children will learn some simple, joyous songs, which they may be invited to share during worship from time to time. Periodically, we will have special intergenerational worship services designed to engage younger children throughout the whole worship hour.
Infants and Toddlers
Infants and toddlers can have wonderful care under the supervision of our paid staff not only during Sunday school and worship; care is often arranged during any activity a parent or guardian might want to participate in. Contact email@example.com to be sure this is arranged.
Preschool- 5th Grade
Godly Play is a curriculum that invites children to discover God, themselves, and one another through the stories in the Bible. Based on the Montessori Method, Godly Play uses a careful telling of scripture stories, engaging story figures, and activities to encourage children to seek and find answers to their faith questions. Godly Play respects the innate spirituality of children and encourages curiosity and imagination in experiencing the mystery and joy of God.
Youth, 6th-12th Grade
Meeting times TBA
Middle & High School Youth will gather to have fun together while building positive relationships, exploring topics meaningful to life and faith, and serving the larger community. Youth will have the opportunity to lead in worship periodically. Please note: There is no specific programming for middle & high school aged youth during the Sunday School hour—instead, youth may be incorporated in and are encouraged to participate in the life of the congregation through adult Sunday school, teaching Godly Play, Choir, or other worship leadership.
